This page is the location to find information regarding the 2035 Comprehensive Plan Update.

The Frederick County Planning Commission and the Comprehensive Plans and Programs Committee (CPPC) have initiated the 5-year review and update of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. This effort will run over approximately 12 months, and conclude with final adoption by the Board of Supervisors anticipated by mid-summer of 2016.

To assist in achieving this targeted goal, a three-phase approach has been used as outlined as below. The plan update is currently in Phase 3.

Phase 3 of the process is one of the most important, which includes solicitation of public input and feedback on the draft documents. The public is encouraged to provide notes, comments, general feedback, and questions on the draft documents below at the upcoming public input meetings throughout June 2016 or by providing feedback electronically through the comment box at the bottom of this page.

All public input will be recorded and summarized in the final version of the 2035 Comprehensive Plan.
