Kite Fest

Experience the thrill of kite flying at Kite Fest, our FREE family-friendly event! We're excited to hold this event for the 2nd year at the Historic Kernstown Battlefield. On Sunday, March 17th, from 1-4 pm, come and enjoy an afternoon filled with fun! The first 30 families to arrive will receive FREE kites and vendors will have delicious food and treats available for purchase. The FREE egg hunt will be back and even bigger for ages 2-6 & 7-11! Plus, FREE additional activities such as face painting, lawn games, and much more!

Youth Trout Derby

The Youth Trout Derby is back! Visit Clearbrook Park on May 10th from 5-8pm for this exciting and engaging fishing event designed for young anglers (ages 4-14). This derby allows youth to connect with nature, learn or enhance fishing skills, and foster a love for the outdoors. With prizes, giveaways, and a focus on conservation, our youth trout derby offers a memorable experience for the next generation of anglers.

LOUDOUN STREET MILE

The Loudoun Street Mile is an anticipated event for regional runners, held annually on Memorial Day in Old Town Historic Winchester. Celebrating its 37th year, this race attracts participants eager to traverse the iconic Loudoun Street, combining the thrill of competition with the charm of the historic setting.
